Before entering Cave B

Find the western cave uphill from the forest crash area. The Rope Gun does not require the Shovel. Bring lighting, food, medicine and explosives; save outside before breaking the entrance boards.

Clear the blocked passage

In the first large chamber, follow the work light on the right towards the Sluggy obstructing the route. Clear it with explosives. The older detailed route describes time bombs near the bodies here, but bringing your own avoids depending on finding that supply.

Reach the Rope Gun

  1. Beyond the blockage, follow the subsequent lights and stream.
  2. Pass the worker bodies and climb along the left-side crevice.
  3. Crouch through the narrow opening where necessary.
  4. In the later section, avoid the left-hand dead end and continue into the final chamber.
  5. Search the lit case area on the right for the Rope Gun. Pick it up and check the inventory.

Use the exit zipline

Take the zipline above the pickup towards the exit route. If the passage does not match these landmarks, return to the last recognisable light rather than assuming a path through a wall.

Next, combine this tool with the Rebreather before attempting the Shovel. Enemy counts and a damage-free shortcut are not established by these route references.
