Read the GPS

Open the Emergency Pack, equip the GPS and use your position alongside the terrain to keep your bearings. Change zoom with your configured controls. A screenshot’s scale is not a fixed walking distance.

Marker What it indicates Important condition
Purple exclamation mark A Team B locator target Inspect the actual location; purple targets are not all the same item.
Green bunker marker A discovered bunker Use the relevant flashing red laptop during exploration.
Blue question mark A Jianyu camp Appears when you approach within its display range.
Orange construction marker A construction point Proximity limits apply.
Glider or golf-cart icon Nearby transport These also have proximity limits.

Ordinary cave entrances and bunkers are different destinations. Do not assume every entrance is a green GPS point.

Reveal the first bunkers

The laptop in the Rebreather cave can reveal the western Entertainment Bunker. The laptop in the Shovel cave advances discovery of Maintenance A. Visit the entrance and use the laptop rather than relying on a green dot already being visible.

For the early 3D Printer, the maintenance room is accessible before the Entertainment Bunker’s card-locked area. For Maintenance A, you still need the Shovel to expose the hatch.

Place your own locator

A GPS Locator placed on an upright stick can mark a fixed location. Giving one to Virginia tracks her position instead. These serve different purposes, so choose where you want the locator to follow.

This is a marker-reading guide, rather than an interactive island map. Use terrain and the individual location guides together.
